Client Setup and Subscription Import

Follow the steps from account setup to connection. Skip anything you’ve already completed; once the server list appears, verify the connection.

Interface labels may vary across platforms, clients, and versions. In this guide, “subscription,” “configuration,” and “import” refer to similar options. Follow the client instructions in your user dashboard. Make sure your plan is active before getting your subscription and client. Never enter your account password in a subscription URL field.

Create an Account and Open the User Dashboard

Open the link below and enter a username and password on the account creation page. VPNIB doesn’t require an email address; all you need is a username and password. You’ll use the username to sign in later, so choose one that’s easy to recognize and save. Set a unique password and store it in your password manager. Check your details and follow the on-screen instructions to create your account. Your account credentials and subscription link serve different purposes: use the former to sign in to the dashboard, and give the latter to your client to get server settings. Don’t confuse them in later steps.

After creating your account, if you’re not taken to the account overview automatically, sign in with the username and password you just created. You should see your account details and be able to open the plans, client downloads, and support ticket sections. Not seeing an active subscription yet doesn’t mean account creation failed. Your account is the dashboard for managing your service; you can get a subscription once your plan is active. Confirm that you’re signed in before moving on. There’s no need to create another account.

If you see a message that your login details don’t match, check your keyboard input, capitalization, extra spaces copied with your credentials, and whether your password manager filled in details for another site. Sign out of the dashboard when you’re done on a shared device, and don’t let the browser save your credentials indefinitely. For more help with signing in or managing your password, see Account and Subscription Help. This guide continues with the first-time setup steps.

Choose a Plan and Confirm Your Order

After signing in, open the plans section in the dashboard and consider how you use data. A monthly subscription suits ongoing use, with data resetting monthly on the activation date. A data package is for use as needed; it lasts until the data runs out and never expires. The main difference is how data is allocated, not how many devices can connect at once. VPNIB allows unlimited devices to connect simultaneously, so you can import the subscription on your computer, tablet, and other devices. Keep an eye on the data used by your account across all devices.

Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packages: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. If you mainly browse text-based websites and use AI chat, consider your actual usage. Leave room for higher data use if you often stream videos or download large files. We won’t estimate your usage based on the number of devices or treat a data allowance as a speed guarantee. For a full comparison, check the rules on the Plan Pricing page before placing your order in the dashboard.

After choosing a plan, check the plan name, price, and data allowance on the order page. Complete payment using an option provided by the dashboard, such as Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. When payment is complete, return to the dashboard and check the order status and plan details in your account overview. If the status hasn’t updated, check the original order and confirm the payment before taking further action. Don’t submit a second order too soon. Your plan must be active before you can get the corresponding subscription and client.

VPNIB offers a 7-day money-back guarantee. If you upgrade a monthly subscription partway through its term, the price difference is converted into remaining days; don’t recalculate it as a full month. See the Terms of Service and Help Center for refund and upgrade rules. At this stage, your dashboard should show an active plan and its data allowance. Confirm that before moving on to get your subscription.

Get Your Subscription and Prepare the Server Configuration

Open the account overview in your user dashboard and find the subscription section. The dashboard provides options to get your subscription or import it into a client; use the option it recommends. If you already have a client installed and the import option opens it correctly, complete the import there. If your browser can’t open the client, or it isn’t installed on this device, copy the subscription link for that client. You can install the client and import the link manually in the next section.

A subscription link isn’t a regular website address. Your client reads it to get the server settings associated with your account. Use the dashboard’s copy button to avoid missing the end of the link. Before pasting it into your client, check for accidental spaces or line breaks, but don’t edit the link yourself. If the dashboard offers multiple formats, choose the one that matches your client rather than substituting one based on a similar name.

Your subscription may contain credentials that grant access to your account, so keep it on your own devices. Don’t post the full link in public chats, article comments, or screenshots of support requests, and don’t send it to unfamiliar testing websites. When asking for help, describe the issue, such as “update failed” or “couldn’t import,” and include the client’s error message instead of sharing the full link. If you think someone else has seen it, check whether the dashboard offers a way to reset it. Contact support by ticket if you’re unsure what to do.

Once you’ve copied the link successfully or opened it in your client, this step is complete. There’s no need to open the subscription link directly in a browser, and whether a webpage displays content doesn’t tell you if the subscription is working. Next, update the configuration in your client and check that the server list appears. If it doesn’t, first check your plan status and subscription format, then see Subscription Update Help.

Install a Client and Import Your Subscription

Open the client downloads section in your user dashboard and choose a suitable VPNIB client for your device. You must be signed in and have an active plan to get the client and subscription; download links aren’t available on the marketing pages. Install the client first, then return to the account overview and use the import option. If the client is already installed, you can add the subscription directly. The steps below explain the types of options and the order to use them. Button labels may vary; follow the instructions for your platform in the dashboard.

Windows: Add a Subscription Configuration

In the dashboard, choose the desktop client for Windows. After installation, open the main window. Clients that support subscription management usually have a configuration option under “Configuration,” “Subscription,” or “Profiles.” Open it, choose the option to add or import from a link, and paste the subscription URL from the dashboard. Give the configuration a recognizable local name, save it, and update it. The name is just for identifying the configuration; don’t include your account password.

Once the update is complete, select the configuration and open the server list. Seeing server names means the configuration was read, but you still need to connect or enable the system proxy to use it. If Windows asks for network access, check that the app name matches the client provided in your dashboard, then follow the client’s instructions. Don’t change advanced routing options yet. Verify the connection with the default settings first, so you can distinguish configuration issues from routing issues.

macOS: Import Your Subscription and Approve System Permissions

Choose the macOS client in the dashboard, install it as instructed, and launch it from Applications. If you control the client mainly from the menu bar, click its menu bar icon to open configuration management, then look for “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or an option to import from a URL. Paste the subscription link, save it, update it, and set it as the current configuration. If the dashboard’s one-click import only opens the app without adding a configuration, use the manual method above.

When you connect for the first time, macOS may ask to add a network configuration or approve network-related permissions. Check that the request comes from the client you just installed, then follow the system prompts to allow it. Don’t reinstall the app just because a permissions dialog appears. After granting permission, return to the client and make sure the configuration and server are selected. For more detailed instructions, see the macOS Setup Guide.

Android: Update Your Subscription and Allow the Connection

Get the Android client from the dashboard, install it as prompted by your device, and open it. In “Configuration,” “Subscription Management,” or the add configuration section, choose import from link, paste the URL, and save it. Return to the configuration list and update it. When the server list appears, select the current configuration. If you use the dashboard’s import button, check that your browser opened the intended client, then save the subscription in the app. If the app opens but you don’t save the import, the servers won’t appear in the list.

When you connect, Android will ask to set up a VPN connection. Check the app name and confirm. If the connection drops after switching apps or putting your device to sleep, first check whether the client is still running, then review Android’s background restrictions for the app. There’s no need to change every battery setting right away; first check whether the app is actually being stopped in the background. If another network proxy app is running on your device, turn off its connection and test this client on its own.

iOS: Get a Compatible Client Using the Dashboard Instructions

On iOS, use the App Store link and instructions in your user dashboard to choose a client that supports the subscription format provided. After installing it, return to the dashboard and try importing the subscription. If your browser doesn’t open the app, choose URL import from “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or the add option in the client. Paste the subscription link, save it, and update it. The add button may be in a different place in each app, so follow the dashboard instructions for your chosen client. Don’t paste the subscription link into a manual server field.

The first time you connect, iOS may prompt you to add a VPN configuration. Confirm the source, follow the system instructions to allow it, then return to the client and connect. After importing, you should see a list of available servers; after granting permission, you should see the connection status. Check these two results separately—a system icon alone doesn’t mean the service you want is available. VPNIB also supports Linux; you can find the relevant download options in the dashboard. This guide focuses on the main steps for the platforms above.

Connect to a Server and Verify Access

After confirming that your subscription has updated, choose a server in the client and connect. For your first setup, keep the client’s recommended default mode and avoid changing the protocol, routing, and DNS settings at the same time. You can start with a nearby server to check the basic connection. If the service you want to use requires a particular exit region, choose a server in a region supported by that service. A list of available regions and servers doesn’t guarantee that every service will always work; test the app or website you want to use.

First, check that the client shows an active connection. Then open a browser, visit a familiar website, and try the AI tool or streaming service you want to use. A connected status in the client only confirms the local connection; it doesn’t mean the destination platform will accept that exit location. If the homepage loads but sign-in fails, consider account permissions, the platform’s regional requirements, and network connectivity separately. There’s no need to delete your subscription or create another account right away.

Visit Network Check on our site to see the connection details reported by your browser, and compare them with whether the destination website loads correctly. If your client uses split tunneling, some websites may still use your regular connection, so interpret the result alongside the current mode. Don’t change all your settings just to make a testing page show a different result. First check whether the page’s traffic is routed through the client, then compare it with how your apps work.

If your subscription updates but websites won’t load, check in order that the current configuration is enabled, a server is selected, system permissions have been granted, and no other proxy connection is running. Change servers and try the same page again without changing other settings; this makes it easier to tell what caused the difference. If only one app fails, test the same service in a browser, then check the app’s network settings. If the problem persists, look up the symptoms in Connection and Troubleshooting Help. Don’t reset all your configurations at once.

Once you can access both websites and the app you want to use, setup is complete. To use the service on other devices, install a client and import your subscription on each one; setting it up on your computer doesn’t take care of your tablet. Keep an eye on your remaining data in the dashboard, and use the client’s subscription update option when the server list needs refreshing. To learn about protocol choices and the differences between direct and relayed connections, see Protocol and Server Technical Reference. You don’t need to learn all of this before your first connection.

When submitting a support ticket, include your device’s operating system, client name, the step where the issue occurred, and any error message. Hide your account credentials and full subscription link in screenshots. Continue troubleshooting through User Dashboard Support Tickets. Keeping your current configuration will help us understand the issue.
